Fear of death to fly with my child .. next week?
… With all this shit in the news lately with "attacks on children" on the planes I feel very uncomfortable. I know that when the plane I'm going to get icy stares saying "Please, do not sit here with that baby …." What if I sit next to someone who absolutely can not stand children and he / she is bad with my daughter? She is 18 months old and there is a high probablity could try to engage with another person … especially in a four-hour flight! I'll try to stop it if it is a hassle, but people with young children know that sometimes it does not always work. Any suggestions? The flight is at 8:05 am. Do not get me wrong if someone says something inappropriate to my daughter, I will definitely say something back!
Wow, great answers everyone! Also be sure to bring food, snacks and any other entertainment, such as favorite toys, books, soft cloth that can help keep their attention during the flight. Ask the gate agent if you can pre-board. Generally, allow parents with small children to the first meeting, and then installed in less haste instead of shipping with the general flow of passengers. If you have not purchased a seat for baby (and the use of a car seat) if the agent can "lock" courtesy an empty seat next to you so you can take the seat with you. Otherwise, you can "pass" entry door or pushchair there at the end of the jetway, and will be returned to you in the jetway to the landing.
